What are the responsibilities and job description for the AVP & Data & DevOps Engineer position at First Hawaiian Bank?
First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking an experienced, analyzed, team-oriented AVP & Data & DevOps Engineer to join our Data Services Center. In this role, you will develop and maintain data pipelines, CI/CD deployment and testing pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for deploying internal applications in Kubernetes. Work with data science team to define and architect data platforms and model and application deployment using API solutions with awareness of monitoring, performance, and security requirements. Identify opportunities to automate and improve existing processes across existing platforms.
Work Schedule
Monday-Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm (hours may vary)
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree with major in Computer Science, STEM field, or related field required.
- Master's degree with major in Computer Science, STEM field, or related field preferred.
- 5 years of experience in DevOps and Engineering required.
- Test and examine code written by others and analyzing results.
- Experience with Git/Gitlab and source code version control.
- Deep analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to be flexible and adaptable if changes in priorities occur.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Motivated self-starter who is able to independently research and resolve issues using available resources.
