First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking an experienced, collaborative, relationship-focused Private Banking Officer to join our Private Banking Team in our Pearlridge Branch. In this role, you will provide quality customer service to Private Banking clients while proactively assisting them with their financial needs through the delivery of banking services. You will also act as a financial advisor dedicated to building long-term relationships while tailoring financial solutions to meet client goals and objectives through leveraging Wealth Management Group partners and other banking areas, and presenting a professional image and competence as a representative of Private Banking, demonstrating consistent performance and achievement of key performance drivers each year.

Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm (Hours may vary)

The ideal candidate will have
- Private Bankers must complete the required wealth planning training within 6 months of joining PRD and must obtain a minimum of two licenses and/or certifications related to wealth management by the end of their 2nd calendar year.
- FHB Basic Residential Certification and MLO registration within 6 months from hire or equivalent work experience required.
- 5 years of experience in banking or finance related industry required.
- Post baccalaureate degree preferred.
- Preferred wealth management experience, including financial and estate planning, insurance and investment products.
- Preferred commercial and/or consumer lending skills with the ability to negotiate, structure, price, document and close transactions of small to moderate complexity with minimal guidance.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with strong knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, RMS and Branch Automation or equivalent.
- Handles confidential matters judiciously.
- Well organized and capable of multitasking.
- Good time management skills and meets all required deadlines.
- Highly self-motivated and goal oriented with sales skills to enhance business development objectives.
- Must be willing to learn basic financial, retirement, and estate planning techniques and solutions.
- Must comply with SAFE Act requirements by completing registration in the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) within 180 days of transfer into role.
- Must meet Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Loan Originator requirements.
