Residential Lending Credit Officer

Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM (hours may vary)
Responsibilities
Reviews, underwrites, and approves simple residential real estate loans within one's lending limit and to recommend and/or escalate those beyond his/her limit. Exercises sound underwriting credit judgment and loan analysis and to be knowledgeable in all residential loan programs, products, policies, procedures, and regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience required.
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or accounting preferred.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in pre-decisioning, underwriting, and/or lending required.
- Thorough working knowledge of salable and portfolio residential mortgage loan programs and their requirements.
- Knowledge with all applicable federal regulations.
- Must have very good math, analytical, problem solving and decision making skills.
- Must be discreet and tactful due to the confidentiality of various loan documents.
- Must be organized and detail oriented and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Ability to type 45-50 words per minute.
- Ability to use Bank standard software and financial calculators required.
- Effective oral and written communication skill required.
- Good working knowledge of an automated underwriting system.
