SUMMARY With a commitment to meeting the learning needs of our organization, this role partners with internal clients during all phases of the learning process. Identifying needs, program design and development in various delivery methods, coordination and implementation of programs, skilled facilitation, administration of online learning system, and evaluating learning impact represent key components of the position. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Possess a working knowledge of adult learning theory and apply learner-centered strategies to accomplish training objectives across all lines of business utilizing a variety of delivery methods. Conduct learning needs analysis conversations with internal partners, determine and prioritize learning needs, and recommend appropriate solutions and delivery methods to meet business objectives. Design and develop learning solutions in a variety of delivery methods; including web-based e-learning courses, virtual synchronous sessions, classroom sessions, meeting kits, user guides, job aids, and various communications. Skilled in the use of presentation programs such as Microsoft Power Point, online development software such as Lectora and Captivate, and virtual meeting programs such as Skype and WebEx. Facilitate learning in both virtual and classroom delivery methods, focused on achieving program learning objectives through learner engagement. Evaluate learning impact by creating post-session surveys and/or conducting participant debrief conversations, followed by collecting and analyzing responses. Based on responses, determine improvement opportunities and implement strategic updates to better meet learner and organizational needs. Maintain and update learning materials with a goal of ongoing improvement to content and learner engagement. Proactively update courses and documents as policies and procedures change. Collaborate with subject matter experts to stay abreast of regulatory updates as well as changing business objectives. Support administrative functions of First Interstate’s Learning Management System; including creating and updating/maintaining user profiles, assigning appropriate courses, accessing and distributing reports, and troubleshooting and ensuring resolution of technical issues. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university, certification(s) or credential(s) from an accredited talent development agency preferred; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. OTHER SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS Experience in a collaborative learning development environment – assessing, designing, developing and evaluating interactive learning solutions. Excellent consulting skills; must be able to guide and align stakeholders around specific implementation recommendations. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and oral and written communications skills. Skilled facilitator, capable of establishing credibility with a variety of audiences and leading them through the learning process, effectively managing discussion and presenting content in an engaging, dynamic fashion. Passionate and enthusiastic about the learning field. Experience in the Financial Services industry a plus. Advanced PC and office equipment skills required. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries of complaints of customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publications that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
