A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A PROJECT DIRECTOR
As a Project Director, you estimate for mitigation and construction-related projects using Xactimate and other professional estimating software. Your solid understanding of the true costs of construction and restorations services increases the accuracy of margins/line items within Xactimate. Your positive, friendly disposition comes through in all your interactions and is how you are able to foster and maintain strong relationships with insurance adjusters, property managers, property owners, industry-related associations, and other potential business sources
Responsibilities

- Ensure all losses are managed from initial contact with the client through completion
- Effectively communicate and work with the team including National, Business Developers, Project Managers, and all other staff
- Develop and maintain relationships with insurance adjusters, property managers, property owners, industry-related associations, and other potential business sources
- Actively market the company through associations, meetings, local functions, and trade shows
- Develop and execute new marketing strategies for company growth
- Pursue and respond to all client calls and sales leads in a timely manner
- Identify and develop key partner strategies for specific market segments
- Participate in all conference calls or meetings scheduled by the company or your supervisor
- Assist in the training of new or current employees as directed by your supervisor
- Consistently meet or exceed all revenue expectations outlined by the company
- Perform and lead training meetings or classes as needed
- Must be a rapid learner and adjust to change or new situations quickly
- Provide projection reports on individual loss sales and growth opportunities in the market
- Effectively manage all communication between customers and adjustors
- Provide feedback and communicate constantly with the supervisor and the team to ensure clear expectations and maximum productivity
- Ensure compliance of losses with all state and federal laws
- Go out of the way to ensure 100% customer satisfaction
- Constantly promote the company and help to identify other "A" players to add to the I.R. team
- Provide consistent feedback to General Manager concerning Sales, Operations, and Personnel
- Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with the team, Insurance or Property contacts, and all customers to continually improve the company's standing in the community
- Meet with General Manager monthly to discuss your results, communicate feedback, develop action plans, and evaluate overall performance
- Ensure minimum accepted sales levels, duties and responsibilities are met or exceeded
- Supervise and ensure that all losses are managed from initial contact with the client through completion
- As 1st line of response must respond in a timely manner to all losses or projects
- Effectively estimate and present the proposal for all losses
- Accurately write up the scope of repair and recommendation to the adjuster
- Must quickly develop report and trust with all customers and adjustors
- Professionally identify and communicate all change orders, supplements, and code upgrades
- Accurately track and document loss and restoration project workflows
- Actively participate in and manage all collection efforts
- Communicate project or site staffing issues with supervisor in a timely manner.
- Effectively support Project Managers and Superintendents on all loss projects
- Travel to other cities or regions as needed to assist with other corporate losses and/or training
- Effectively manage all communication and negotiations between customers and adjustors
- Fully responsible to ensure that all projects maintain the proper level of staffing and equipment
- Must be available and reachable on short notice and during all designated work hours including being on call at all times in order to respond to emergency losses
- Provide weekly and monthly reporting of sales numbers, current projects, pending projects, and account receivables
- Maintain a high level of integrity, business ethics, and sound judgment as you perform Project Director duties
Technical Qualifications:
- Proficient in large loss and commercial claims
- Must be proficient with Xactimate or other loss estimation software
- High level of expertise in restoration losses including contents, drying, carpet, paint, drywall, and mold
- Demonstrate efficient computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook as well as the use of PDA's
- Knowledgeable of Local, State, and Federal requirements
- Working knowledge of insurance claims negotiation with adjusters
Behavioral Qualifications:
- Communicate well; verbally and written
Experience:
- Experience in mold/asbestos abatement
- Experience in the drying and restoration industry, including structural drying
- Experience reading blueprints/architectural plans
- College degree preferred
- Valid driver's license required
- Must be able to walk all job sites including adverse conditions that may result from losses
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull up to 25 pounds unaided and move throughout worksites
- Perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods and using ladders to access rooftops
