What are the responsibilities and job description for the Buyer/Planner position at First Team Professional Resources?
Our client is within the Oil & Gas industry, their products deliver premium filtration and fluid separation performance to ensure high-quality results from extraction, to refining, to pipeline.
Work with business unit and functional leaders to develop and execute tactical plans including, but is not limited to:
· Employ DBS processes to continuously improve all aspects of role and responsibilities
· Utilize standard work to ensure daily responsibilities are completed according to priority
· Actively participate and lead assigned SQDIP and other Daily Management activities
· Track, analyze, manage, document, and report on open customer orders, past-due lines, past-due dollars, AOS stock status, Customer Expedite status and performance at Daily Management and as needed
· Act as PSI and daily Materials Lead for specified value streams providing current status, order-book information, and adjusting DMS elements such as Kanban and others
· Lead and facilitate updates to daily management elements including Kerr charts, stock-out sheets, critical orders, and production plans
· Implement, audit, problem solve, correct, resize, and continuously improve Value Stream and Site-wide Kanban systems
· Perform ongoing IMAG analysis for all designated parts at established frequency and drive reductions in Supplier Leadtime, On-hand Inventory, MOQs, and other factors
· Initiate “SPIKE” Kanban orders and MRP requisitions for purchased goods as needed to support OTD targets
· Schedule production for assigned value streams as defined in standard work
· Print and Deliver Production Order ‘travelers’ to the shop floor according to design
· Other responsibilities assigned by Manager
Provide expertise to teams including:
· (PSI) Production, Sales, and Inventory team
· Apply continuous improvement methods such as Dynamic Kanban, PSP problem solving, set up wheel, Heijunka, TPI, etc.
· DMS principles of teamwork, methodology, innovation and customer focus
· Subject matter expertise in DMS elements such as Dynamic Kanban, IMAG, Heijunka, PSI
· Lead transformational change and work on identifying greatest DMS opportunities across the plant
· Identify and share best practices

Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
