NOTE: The following position is for proposed new business within First Transit. Only candidates meeting the work experience requirements will be considered.

First Transit is looking for a HR Office Manager in Napa, California. First Transit hires individuals who make safety and customer service their top priorities. If you have the drive, confidence, and determination to succeed, we are looking for you!

Our HR Office Manager will be responsible for:

  • HR Tracking
    • FMLA/Workers Comp
    • Absences and Lates
    • Personnel File management
    • Training management (computer based First Transit University)
    • Recruiting system and new hire document tracking
  • Payroll inputting and payroll reports
  • Dashboard backup
  • Uniform Inventory Management
  • Shipping duties (i.e. computers that need to go back)
  • Purchasing tracking/Purchasing backup
  • Connect App
  • Special projects (Letters out to drivers/communication flyers/develop spreadsheets/seniority lists/vacation management, etc.)
  • Duties as assigned to assist GM and Ops

To qualify as a HR Office Manager, you’ll need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; College degree preferred
  • Minimum 2 years administrative experience
  • Must be a self-starter and work independently
  • Computer Literate
  • Prior experience with Microsoft Office applications is required (Excel/Word)
  • Experience in payroll/office skills/purchasing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Excellent desire to provide excellent customer service is a must
  • Ability to build and motivate teams
