First US Bank is currently recruiting for a Head Teller to join our team! Along with performing teller duties, the Head Teller is to assist Branch Manager in overseeing the operations of teller, safe deposit and ATM functions. Provides leadership, plans and organizes daily activities and keeps open communications while interacting with subordinates and other departments. Responsible for compliance with bank policies and procedures with federal and state regulations. Must abide by all BSA requirements.

- Provide leadership to the staff members of the teller department through superior example and by implementing, executing and supporting all management-approved decisions and bank philosophies.
- Remain current on changes within the legal, regulatory, economic, competitive and technology environments which may affect the teller function.
- Assist management with respect to recommendations for development and interpretation of Bank policies for department personnel.
- Assist Branch Manager with staffing schedule, organizing department for participation in meetings, classes, etc. Schedules work day coverage for breaks and lunches accordingly.
- Perform periodic audits to ensure all department staff members are adhering to security procedures.
- Trains new employees and provide guidance to staff as needed. Ensures department staff members provide service to members in a professional, prompt and efficient manner.
- Coordinate the shipping/ordering of branch cash supply while maintaining a working supply of teller supplies and customer products.
- Assume responsibilities for department operations in the temporary absence of the Branch Manager.
- Assists branch manager in the completion of the tellers performance appraisal.
Other Duties/Responsibilities
- Responsible for knowing the policies/procedures to ensure all work performed conforms to bank guidelines and standards.
- Communicate department activities to manager
- Cross-sell products and services when appropriate.
- Assist tellers with an out-of-balance condition as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager including but not limited to ATM maintenance.
- Ensure all staff treats customer information with confidentiality.
- Attendance is a vital function of this position.
Education and Experience
- Job requires a high school level of language, math and reasoning skills.
- Two years experience in a related field with equal responsibilities is acceptable.
- Formal training may be supplemented with continuing education.
