AP Specialist
A highly reputable organization that has been around for over 100 years and is continuing to grow has a newly created AP Specialist opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for maintaining current accounts, assist with invoicing functions, and other accounts payable obligations, ensuring standard accounting procedures followed.
- Endorse vendor invoices by ensuring amounts are accurate and have appropriately documented and approved by the authorizing employee prior.
- Initiate vendor payments by submitting an invoice with proper verifications and authorizations in a timely matter and within account payment terms.
- Develop a file structure for all invoices, accounts payable payments, and tax information for each vendor.
- Gather all support documents, code per job requirements and submit for payment.
- Serve as a resource to vendors for accounts payable related questions, payment status, or document requests by gathering data, contacting management and communicate necessary information to help provide resolution.
- Statement reconciliations.
- Collaborate with Accounts Payable Manager on recommendations to optimize and standardize AP processes and internal controls.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of AP experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
