Job Responsibilities
TheLifestyle Coordinatoris responsible for interacting with customers, organizing and providing various forms of information, cash handling/balancing, and using a variety of communication skills while demonstrating the associated proficiency in typing and grammar.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
SUMMARY
Assists in supervision and coordination activities in planning, implementing, and monitoring fitness programs and social events for residents in the health club by performing the following duties.
. Carries out the duties and responsibilities of the Spa Lifestyle Coordinator in the absence of the Spa Manager and Assistant Spa Manager.
. Assumes the duties of the Receptionist when needed.
. Assist with training all new employees.
. Maintains and repairs fitness equipment.
. Instructs and assists residents on usage of fitness equipment.
. Inspects the Spa facility continuously for cleanliness and the proper functioning of all Spa equipment.
. Enforces all Spa rules.
. Ensures the safety and well-being of all residents.
. Assists with the planning, implementing, and supervising of all Social Committee functions and all other GTCA functions.
. Prepares reports.
. Conducts oneself in accordance with the GTCA policies and procedures.
. Observes workers in performance of duties and gives remedial training to correct worker deficiencies and ensure courteous service to residents.
. Demonstrates operation and explains purpose of equipment, such as treadmill exerciser and stationary bicycle, and instructs residents in their proper, safe use.
. Be available for weekend, and weekday evening committee meetings and other events, as scheduled.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one year related supervisory experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer literacy is required; to include a working knowledge of word processing/spreadsheet software.
The position requires a blend of administrative experience, organizational ability, supervisory skills, telephone skills, demonstrated communicative ability, both orally and in writing. The work of the position necessitates correspondence and report writing proficiency; a neat, professional appearance and an aptitude for public relations in a customer service environment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of residents or employees of the Association.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Certified Pool Operator certification, American red Cross.
Lifeguard Training/First Aid certification, American Red Cross, or American Heart Association. CPR Certification.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, and outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Position involves sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, pushing, shoving, lifting, carrying and moving objects that can weigh up to 25 lbs. This movement can occur throughout the day. Must also be able to climb several flights of stairs if necessary.
- Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to communicate both on the phone and in person with our clients in order to resolve issues and manage the business.
- Must have finger dexterity for typing/using a keyboard.
- Must be mobile enough to move around both the office in order to make copies, send mail and faxes and to walk around the property. This could include lengthy walks on uneven areas.
- Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors, and other associates.
- Capable of working extended hours, to include evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary.
- This position may alternate between working indoors in a controlled climate and with proper lighting, to an outdoors setting with variable climate and lighting.
- Must be able to interact with all types of individuals, be mentally alert, detail oriented, and with good reasoning skills.
- Must be able to work on more than one assignment at a time with frequent interruptions, changes and delays. Must be able to remain focused and work effectively, efficiently, and cheerfully under such circumstances. For safety reasons, employee must remain alert to working conditions and aware of safety, health, and environmental concerns.
