VP Sales and Business Development - Media / Hi-Tech

Scope:

To grow an early-stage Practice by providing transformational solutions and services, across operations and technology, spanning the customer lifecycles of the Communications, Media, and Technology (CMT) industries.Leveraging Cloud-based solutions such as Software as a Service (SaaS), the automation of current technologies, and partnered with operational excellence as well as customer-focused support, the VP of Sales will show new and existing clients how Firstsource can build a powerful digital-first, transformed operating model that redefines performance to drive radically better outcomes.

As a senior member of the Sales and Account Management team, the VP of Sales & Business Development is responsible for identifying, assessing, and negotiating new business opportunities that are in line with the Company's overall strategic growth objectives. This position is expected to contribute to the strength, capabilities, and reputation of Firstsource in theglobal marketplace while expanding the customer base, revenue, and profitability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Develop a winning and scalable sales strategy that generates revenue and achieves assigned goals
  • Directly source deals using their own contacts and manage the sales lifecycle through close
  • Develop and execute business plans to include prospecting, responding to inbound leads, shaping deals, solutioning, pricing, negotiating, finalizing sales contracts, closing deals, and managing customer relations
  • Effectively construct and tell a compelling and clear story around the value proposition both orally and in presentations
  • Work closely with the Account Management and Delivery organization to foster a client-centric culture and cohesive team environment
  • Deliver the required business outcomes to our customers while protecting the interests of the executive's team and Firstsource stakeholders
  • Be a key member of the Firstsource senior management team and contribute to shaping the company's overall strategy
  • 50% - 60% travel required

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Number of deals signed
  • Total contract value signed
  • Quality of clients onboarded

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • A deep understanding of and interest in the media/tech ecosystem with the ability to explain Firstsource solutions in a simple and engaging way. Must know how to tell a story
  • Ability to write and present proposals, respond to RFPs, and document activities
  • Confident in interacting with and influencing senior leaders; with an ability to analyze data, synthesize and present results to C-level executives
  • A solid professional network and a strong ability to build relationships with decision-makers
  • Strong leadership skills and an ability to work with various teams and inspire them to deliver above and beyond
  • Ability to work across boundaries and collaboratively work towards a "One Firstsource" identity
  • Business foresight and the ability to strategize &demonstrate deep business insight that helps identify & develop strategic opportunities

Experience, Education, and Training

  • 10 years of experience in a sales role within at least one Media, Tech Sales, Consulting, Business Management, or Operations industry with a demonstrated track record of successfully delivering against aggressive targets
  • Bachelor's Degree in Sales or Marketing
  • Must have experience in at least one Media, Tech Sales, Consulting, Business Management, or Operations industry.
  • Experience in managing and driving significant revenue growth in a vertical with a global delivery model
