About the team:
FIS' Trading & Asset Services business unit within our Capital Markets organization provides mission-critical software and services to both buy side and sell side institutions. The lines between buy side and sell side have become more blurred. About the role:
This role will be responsible for preparing pricing and structuring deals to support a global Sales team from RFP through contract signature for new logos and renewals.Being effective in this role requires the ability to understand deal structure types, populate pro forma models and provide recommendations regarding pricing and deal structures.This role will interact with various teams including Sales, Finance, Legal, Functional and Revenue Assurance teams located around the globe.This position requires the ability to understand the guiding principles and apply those to various deals and client types.This role will be part of a larger team of 20 professionals located around the globe focused on supporting clients including tier 1-4 banks, broker dealers, asset managers, hedge funds and wealth managers.
What you'll be doing:
- Collaborates with sales executives and relationship managers, product managers, and senior management to provide pricing information in support of pricing strategies, policies, and recommendations
- Obtains feedback on pricing recommendation from FIS internal clients to create updates to proposals and process
- Ensures corporate and divisional guidelines are in compliance with company standards
- Prepares and provides pricing proposals for sales executives and relationship managers
- Recommends pricing adjustments that will support business objectives and plans
- Routinely reviews pricing proposals for quality assurance based on department standards
- Creates and recommends new product pricing enhancements affecting client base
- Acts as liaison with sales and product consultants regarding pricing adjustments
- Creates and maintains secured electronic price lists
- Assists sales with training development as it related to sales proposal requests
- Other related duties as assigned
What you bring:
- A sound knowledge of pricing strategy with an emphasis on value based concepts including economic value analysis, role of costs in pricing decisions, segmented pricing approaches, life cycle pricing concepts, best practice negotiation strategies, pricing psychology, price sensitivity factors and measurement techniques, financial analysis including breakeven sales calculations and margin analysis and the role of competition
- Bachelor's degree in finance or business preferred
- Expert professional role requiring extensive knowledge of the business
- Experience mentoring junior staff while being able to provide direction and training
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel
- Ability to act independently to resolve highly complex problems
- Attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality
