What does a sucessful Data Center Technical Support Associate do for Fiserv?
You will provide mid-level technical support in Fiserv's Mission Critical Data Centers. In this role you will be expected to maximize DC Ops customer facing support model across the enterprise by providing your skills in IT solutions to include equipment installs, cabling, and administrative support in accordance to Fiserv DC Ops program standards. This role will also provide value by understanding and supporting documentation and regular process updates based on Manager and Director feedback.
You're the kind of person who has:
- Hands on experience working in a 24x7x365 high availability data center
- Previous experience with team SharePoint sites
- Familiarity with ITIL V3 & Change Management principles
- Ability to collaborate with internal groups and business units to meet data center support requirements and deliver business value
- Ability to provide IT Technical support; installation, problem determination, vendor management, IT Cabling Infrastructure management supporting Hardware and Infrastructure for distributed, storage and mainframe platforms.
- Support small to medium size projects, follow project implementation plans, communicate and coordinate with internal and external resources as needed
- Work with members of the Enterprise Technology Group team and the extended IT organization to support numerous internal and customer facing applications
- Perform routine production and non-production administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of IT Hardware.
- Understand technical documentation for infrastructure solutions, policies, and operating procedures
- Be familiar with current and planned architectural documentation
- Previous knowledge or understanding of a DCIM tool and it's functionality.
What you will need to have:
- Bachelor's degree or high school/GED
- Minimum 3 years' experience working in a 24x7 -365 production Data Center
- Ability to clearly communicate technical information
- Minimum of three years Demonstrated hands on experience working with IT Hardware (Tier 1 ) and Data Center specific trade tools
- Minimum of three years' experience installing low-voltage communication cable ( Fiber - Cat 6 ), IT Hardware and peripherals
- Able and willing to work all shifts
- Candidate must have the ability to lift 50 pound and the ability to climb and work at heights of 6 to 12 feet.
