Position Title: Press Helper
Location: Hazelwood, MO
Schedule: 3rd Shift Monday-Friday; 10:30PM-7:00AM
What does a successful Press Helper do?
As a Fiserv Press Helper, you will be responsible for the set up and operation of machines within our Press Department that deliver mission-critical communications to financial institutions, health and property/casualty insurance providers, billers, retailers, travel and entertainment companies and advertising agencies nationwide.
What you will do:
- Assist with set up on the off-set sheet fed presses
- Ensure that all material needed to start the production process is staged and ready for use
- Fill and re-fill water buckets and ink fountains, mixing ink when needed
- Examine ticket to determine job to be printed, stock specifications, colors and any special printing instructions
- Help resolve any machine errors that may occur while operating
- Test the registration of the print design by allowing the machine to cycle automatically
- Assist in the training of other employees and participate in cross-training
- Understand, interpret, and abide by OSHA regulations
What you will need to have:
- Proven ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Basic computer skills (data entry, PC navigation)
- Ability to stand 95% of your shift and lift between 20 to 30 pounds
What would be great to have:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Press experience required, i.e., sheet-fed printing
- 12 months Production Experience in High-Speed Operation or similar
- Ability to distinguish color variations and use various measuring devices
- Use of basic math skills
