Job Title VP Cloud Strategy and Enablement Job Purpose VP Cloud Strategy and Enablement The Account Processing and Fintech Solutions business unit (BU) is a dynamic and critical part of the Fiserv organization. Our solutions address needs ranging from Core Account Processing to Document management, Fraud and Risk, and everything in between. Our clients represent 40% of the banks in the US in either a licensed or SAAS model. What does a successful VP Cloud Strategy and Enablement do at Fiserv? As the VP Cloud Transformation, you will be responsible for defining and communicating cloud strategy, patterns and establishing cloud readiness criteria while assisting teams in mapping and migration of applications to the most appropriate cloud model. This is an exciting opportunity to boost the Account Processing and Fintech Solutions business in our mission to meet our clients in modern environments while offering innovative ways to achieve resiliency, availability, and scalability. The ideal candidate should be prepared to communicate the benefits of cloud native, 12-factor, test-driven development and possesses a strong development background. The goal of the VP of Cloud Transformation will define strategies and patterns, and then execute them against our portfolio of applications: Create a well-informed cloud strategy and manage the adaption process. Work across Account Processing and Fintech Solutions with leadership, engineers, operations, and architects to shape the technical direction of cloud computing Partner with business and application development leaders, demonstrating appropriate cloud strategies and appropriate patterns for real-life scenarios Evangelize cloud development strategies and enabling teams while ensuring best practices are being followed Assist teams in evaluation of existing applications and mapping to the most appropriate cloud model (IAAS, PAAS, SAAS, FAAS) Determine appropriate scenarios for effective use of containerization via Docker Develop applications in support of cloud readiness, onboarding and cloud transformation Assist teams in realizing benefits of cloud computing while communicating benefits and risks of public, private and hybrid cloud Create proof-of-concept applications when necessary to demonstrate patterns or share modern technologies Work closely with Cloud Platform Architects to sync on enterprise initiatives and communicate needs of business for new strategies Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cloud computing trends, evaluating and exploring new tools and technologies What you will need to have: 10 years’ experience developing applications in Java and/or .NET. (Experience with both a plus) 7-10 years of experience with distributed systems planning, operations, or design in a large computing facility is required 5 years’ experience with public cloud infrastructure including GCP, AWS or Azure 5 years’ experience developing cloud native applications (Pivotal Cloud Foundry/PCF a plus) 3 years’ experience transforming .Net / Java application to run in containers (Kubernetes, Docker, PKS a plus) Excellent scripting knowledge and ability to execute through Python, Bash/Shell, PowerShell, Go Solid understanding of cloud models (IAAS, SAAS, PAAS, FAAS) Firm grasp of common deployment strategies including blue/green, zero-downtime deployment, traffic shaping, canary and rollback Solid understanding of best practices in support of Cloud Based CI and CD Understanding of Continuous Integration/ Continuous Deployment Experience working within an Agile Delivery Framework Passionate about cloud computing technologies Collaborate with others in influencing the modernization strategy for our platforms and provide guidance on Micro Service and Orchestration services. Define, communicate and enforce design/coding standards for our distributed services Technical governance and design review Publish and present architecture to peers and technology leaders Good understanding of common principals related to computing, networks, firewall, security and authentication Ability to work and influence across functional teams with different mind sets, cultures, operating styles and decision-making frameworks Experience leading meetings with both a technical and managerial audience attendance Good understanding of common principals related to computing, networks, firewall, security and authentication Ability to work and influence across functional teams with different mind sets, cultures, operating styles and decision-making frameworks What would be great to have: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer related field is required; Equivalent work experience in some cases Strong mathematical competency in basic statistical techniques The ability to communicate, both verbally and written, with a high level of confidence.
