What does a great Digital Print Operator do?
As a Digital Print Operator – Indigo, you will be responsible for the set up and operation of machines within our print department that deliver mission-critical communications to financial institutions, health and property/casualty insurance providers, billers, retailers, travel and entertainment companies and advertising agencies nationwide. You will prepare and print electronic files sent in by customers for proofing and printing. Fiserv strives to be the workplace that you can have fun in as well.
1st Shift Work Schedule: Monday-Friday; 6:00AM-2:30PM
As a Digital Print Operator, you can look forward to:
- Completing electronic file preparation and file processing to get job ready to run
- Working the file, checking for quality of all pages for color, trapping, and other possible problems
- Perform press startups, shutdowns, and routine maintenance
- Filling ink canisters, oil reservoirs, install blankets, PIP’s, color calibrations, replace impression backer sheets
- Changing press parameters, as required, to accommodate stock and image quality
- Producing color accurate customer ready proofs
- Handing off job tickets and printed sheets to bindery for finishing
- Maintaining communication with print coordinators and other press operators in reference to ongoing jobs
- When assigned, performing duties and tasks outside department and job to the best of individual skill and ability
- Assisting in the training of other employees and participating in cross-training
- Understanding, interpreting, and abiding by OSHA regulations
- Clean and climate-controlled work area
Basic Qualifications for Consideration:
- 5 years’ experience in color digital printing experience required
- Proven ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Basic computer skills (data entry, PC navigation)
- Ability to stand 95% of your shift and lift between 20 to 30 pounds
- Be able, as it is necessary, to climb, stretch, crouch or kneel
Preferred Qualifications for Consideration:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 12 months Production Experience in High-Speed Operation or similar
- Pre-press knowledge
- Use of basic math skills
- A team player that works well with others but can also work independently
