We are looking for landscape designers and landscape architects of all experience levels who share our passion for meaningful public open spaces to join our Studio. We are a group of fun loving and passionate practitioners who value life work balance. Our studio is currently operating under a flexible hybrid work model in which employees can work from a remote location part-time.
Summary/Objective:
We are currently looking for Landscape Architects with 5-10 years of experience to join our award-winning collaborative team working from one of our NY office locations in Ithaca, Rochester, Buffalo or Syracuse, NY office. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, creative individual who can work in a fast-paced and collaborative professional environment.
Responsibilities:
The candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Coordination of project teams to execute the design, production, and construction of small and mid-size projects
- Formulate original design concepts, direct staff through design, interact and solve problems with clients and/or related design professionals
- Conduct meetings with architectural and A/E teams, clients, and public forums
- Preparation of materials for planning approvals/permits as appropriate
- Coordination with governmental building, planning, and legal departments
- Present at client and regulatory review meetings
- Participation in construction administration, typically under the direction/guidance of an experienced colleague
- Regional travel to building sites and client meetings
- Write and present reports, proposals, and municipal review applications
- Support of marketing and business development efforts
- Other duties assigned
Requirements
Minimum qualifications include:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture
- 5-10 years relevant experience
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experienced in AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Demonstrated ability and desire to lead others through the design and construction documentation and construction administration processes
- Civil 3D, Sketch-up, Rhino, Lumion and/or MicroStation experience is a plus
- Experience with building codes, materials, and construction techniques
- Sites Certification is a plus
