The Opportunity:
As an Enterprise Architect, you will plan portions of the enterprise architecture environment and promote architectural principles and standards. As a technical expert for our Portfolio Management ecosystem, you will partner with Technology Business Services, Infrastructure and Operations, 3rd party vendors, and implementation partners. Your experience will help us build our technology transformation program and create multi-year roadmaps to align enterprise-wide solutions to Fisher's priorities.
You will survey the technology landscape and guide the evolution of the current environment to support future capabilities and requirements. You will report to the Vice President of Enterprise Architecture as a member of our team of experienced Enterprise Architects.
The Day-to-Day:
- Define and oversee the adherence to enterprise architecture principles and standards across portions of applications, infrastructure, and information security
- Define the architecture and lead the selection of platforms (both cloud and on-premise), products, and vendors to be used for programs across the enterprise
- Ensure the architecture of applications and systems (especially within Fisher's Portfolio Management Group) is consistent with enterprise needs, and check how application solutions are used to meet those enterprise needs
- Lead cross functional technology and business teams to evaluate current technology solutions and plan, design, and coordinate multi-year roadmaps for all applications and support activities
- Survey the technology landscape to identify systems and solutions that align with firm strategy while collaborating with executive leadership to recommend, implement and maintain appropriate technology solutions
- Be a SME to Technology Business Services, Infrastructure and Operations, Information Security, 3rd party vendors, and implementation partners
- Facilitate optimization of current state architecture during the transformation to future state architecture
- Implement enterprise vision and goals that result in achievement and success through collaboration while maintaining the confidence of key stakeholders
Your Qualifications:
- 10 years combination of solution, technical, and business architecture experience
- 7 years of experience leading solution and technical architecture teams at a financial services firm, with experience in wealth management
- Experience implementing Charles River (CRD) for order management
- Experience implementing SS&C’s Global Wealth Platform
- Bachelor's degree in information systems or related technical field or equivalent experience
- Experience with application architectures, middleware architectures, and technology architectures
- Understanding of market/industry trends and architecture frameworks
- Prior experience developing and communicating data strategy, architecture, and design, with an understanding of data architectural tradeoffs concerning legacy data management systems, modern (largely cloud-based) data platforms, and integration including API strategy
- Experience implementing multiple complex enterprise level changes simultaneously, including how to lead and measure adoption of best practices
