General Summary:
The Manager of Supply Chain and Analytics is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the receiving and distribution functions. The manager will be responsible for the department analytics, ensuring supplies are stocked at adequate levels. This position aids the Director of Materials Management with other cost savings initiatives: including GPO relationships, major services agreements, capital and contacts pertaining to physician preference items. This position identifies opportunities to develop partnerships, reduce costs, standardize products and improve supply chain policy.
Essential Functions:
- Ensures communications between hospital operating units, procurement, distribution, finance, compliance and other outside parties concerning purchasing issues and contract terms and conditions.
- Works with vice presidents, directors, clinicians and physicians to gather, analyze, summarize and prepare recommendations on sourcing strategies and deployment
- Identifies opportunities to develop partnerships, reduce costs, standardize products and improve supply chain policy
- Provides contract oversight to the highest leveraged agreements within the scope of supply chain: including GPO relationships, major services agreements, capital and contacts pertaining to physician preference items
- Assumes responsibility for the daily operational needs of the department and provides ongoing support to staff activities to ensure that effective, efficient, and quality services are consistently provided.
- Set goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with company’s plans and vision and communicate them to employees.
- Organize workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks
- Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching
- Receive complaints and resolve problems
- Maintain timekeeping and personnel records
- Pass on information from upper management to employees and vice versa
- Prepare and submit performance reports, decide on reward and promotion based on performance and hire and train new employees
- Ensure adherence to legal and company policies and procedures and undertake disciplinary actions if the need arises
- Other duties as assigned
- Actively contributes to the achievement of Fisher-Titus Medical Center’s strategic plan and willingly accepts special projects as assigned by management.
