Job Description:
This position is accountable for building customer orders by placing product on forklift, carts or pallet jack throughout the warehouse filling the order by locating products, loading the products and building a stable load.
Job Duties:
Operate warehouse vehicles and equipment (pallet jacks, walkie-riders, forklifts) in a safe manner and without accidents. Be aware of others around you. Avoid damage to product. Avoid injuries.
Learn all product / date codes
Perform a combination of tasks to prepare customer orders for shipment.
Operates warehouse vehicles and equipment through all areas of the warehouse to collect product from pallets, shelves and other storage areas.
Build a stable pallet containing a variety of shapes and sizes.
Read shipping orders to review products being selected and evaluate the way to build the pallet/cart to coordinate with delivery schedule of driver.
Assist in keeping warehouse clean and orderly, clean up trash, and level pallets.
Perform recount on all bulks, noting on the bottom of the pull sheet about any cuts and return to the administration for adjustments.
Make sure all package products are correct on each order and sign bottom of count sheets.
Report to warehouse team lead anything that will contribute to more efficient warehouse activities.
Accurately pulls product and wraps orders for bulk trucks and side load trucks / keg trucks.
Assists with loading on-premise trucks.
Count in truck’s inventory, load kegs and pullers if needed, check swaps and close-date orders to insure all needed inventory is loaded onto truck. Verify with Delivery.
Ensure pallets are stacked neatly.
Assists receivers/forklift in unloading deliveries when necessary. This list is not all inclusive but rather an overview of the role’s primary work duties.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Ability to work with computer programs associated with the performance of the position.
Good communication skills, ability to work well with all levels of the organization, to organize, and prioritize
Decision making, thoroughness and time management a must.
Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
Must pass all pre-employment screenings including a physical, drug test and background investigation.
Able to work independently in a fast paced warehouse operation and learn product locations.
Able to read, write and communicate in English as it relates to the job and to the safety regulations.
Work experience in warehouse or other field preferred.
Must be able to constantly lift 20-50 lbs. and frequently up to 160 lbs.
