What are the responsibilities and job description for the Agritourism Coordinator position at Fishkill Farms?
Overview
The Agritourism Coordinator will work closely with the Marketing and Events Manager to facilitate an excellent on-farm experience for our visitors, ensure great customer service in person and through our various promotional channels, promote the farm and our mission of sustainability, and plan and execute our various seasonal events.

Primary Responsibilities
- Lead role in coordinating logistics for field trips and events and creating an inviting and inclusive environment when groups are on-site
- Promotion and sales of field trips, private and public events
- Coordinate with on-site vendors, talent and other third parties
- Support role in executing the farm’s marketing and communications strategy
- Assist in daily communications with our customer base through email, phone and in person, and through our social media and direct marketing channels (email newsletter, Instagram and Facebook pages)
- Site preparation and maintenance of appearance: This includes ensuring the readiness of all pick-your-own point-of-sale stations and the appearance of the surrounding area including traffic control equipment, electronics and refuse bins
- Supervision of weekend outdoor PYO sales stations, staff, breaks and other needs in order to provide excellent customer experience
- Creation and placement of signage for pick-your-own, farm store, and farmer’s markets.
- Assist with daily updates of Fishkill Farms’ reservation system and website
Requisites:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent collaboration skills
- Technologically savvy; familiar and comfortable using various word processing, spreadsheet and communications platforms (e.g. Excel, Google Docs, Facebook and Instagram)
- Comfortable working either indoors or out; able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Love of food, farming, and a passion for sustainable, community-oriented agriculture
Schedule:
This is a full-time, seasonal position, with the potential for year-round employment. This is an in-person position.
Working days are Wednesday through Sunday, Monday and Tuesday off.
