Are you looking for a unique and dynamic Summer job? Fit Learning KC is committed to maximizing academic outcomes for learners of all ages through the science of learning. Learners demonstrate, on average, a year's worth of growth in just 40 hours of one-on-one instruction with highly-trained certified Learning Coaches.
The Learning Coach works directly with learners to accelerate and/or remediate academic skills. The Learning Coach works under the supervision of a Case Manager and Case Advisor. He or she is motivated and eager to learn, demonstrates attention to detail, accepts and implements feedback, and communicates effectively with learners and other members of the team.
Fit Learning KC offers extensive, ongoing paid training and opportunities for growth.
Responsibilities
- Prepare for and implement instructional sessions across various curriculum domains (Reading, Math, Logic, etc.) with assigned learners
- Implement sessions in accordance with Fit Learning procedures and checklists
- Collect, chart, and analyze program performance data
- Make data-information decisions for program implementation
- Identify and communicate barriers to progress to the Case Manager
- Attend and contribute to team meetings
- Participate in ongoing training opportunities and complete assignments related to training
- Complete ongoing performance evaluations with the Case Manager and Program Director
Qualifications
- High school diploma or national equivalent required
Additional Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent basic computation skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, Gmail, Apple operating systems, Slack, Zoom, Quizlet, Box, PDFExpert, and video capture software
- Proficiency in using Apple devices (iPad and Mac), and in using a copier, scanner, and video capture hardware
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
