Position Summary
The Kid’s Club Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Club Manager (CM) in operations of the Kid’s Club through supervision of all Kid’s Club Teammates (KCTM) and providing an excellent and safe experience for the children. These duties are in addition to their regular Kid’s club teammate duties. KCS reports directly to the Club Manager (CM) when present or the Assistant Club Manager (ACM) when CM is not present.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Under the supervision of the CM, oversees the daily operations of the KC area(s)
- Ensure that all children have a registration form on file
- Ensure teammates continually interact with the children in a positive and age-appropriate manner
- In partnership with the Learning and Development team and your CM, ensure that all KC staff is appropriately trained to meet minimum standards and requirements
- Ensure that KC procedures are followed according to company policies including:
- Ratios of child to KCTM are observed
- Assist CM with ensuring schedule is covered and change requests are submitted accordingly to CM
- Communicate with CM regarding teammate issues (i.e., recommendations on performance improvement or observations of training opportunities)
- Communicate with parents regarding children and report any ongoing issues with Club Manager
- Monitor and maintain inventory and communicate needs to Club Manager
- Ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed and checked for accuracy
- Attend all required staff meetings
- Support your CM in conducting monthly staff meetings to communicate any policy changes
- With oversight of the CM, ensure the KC team is adhering to OSHA regulations
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Must have positive attitude and be able to motivate KCTMs in a positive manner/promote team spirit
- Ability to care for children of all ages
- Must have patience and compassion working with children
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and determine priorities
- Ability to handle challenging customer issues with patience, tact, and professionalism
- Must demonstrate a thorough understanding of Kids Club policies and procedures
- Exhibit high level of professionalism, honesty, integrity, and work ethic
- Exhibit a superior sense of customer service at all times
Required Experience, Education and Certifications
- Prior experience working in a child care setting preferred
- Infant and Child First Aid and CPR & AED certification required within 90 days of employment
Physical Demands
- Physical demands include, but are not limited to daily walking, sitting, lifting, bending, squatting, and reaching.
- Extended daily and weekly work hours may be required, including weekends. Additionally, flexible work hours are required on both day and night shifts with little to no prior notification given.
- Ability to report for work at prescribed times and fulfill all job requirements for the duration of the shift.
- The ability to move freely in and around obstacles common in gyms. TEAMmate must be able to move quickly from one work area to another at a moments’ notice.
- Some lifting and the movement of moderate loads require 50-pound lifting requirement.
- Must have the ability to work under a high degree of stress on a physical, mental, and emotional level. TEAMmate must have the capacity to work under these conditions throughout the duration of his/her shift.
