Description
The Kid’s Club Teammate (KCTM) will provide short-term babysitting services for members and guests. The KCTM will report to the Kids Club Supervisor or Club Manager when a Kid’s Club Supervisor is not present.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Enforce Company policies and procedures
- Ensure that all parents or guardians have signed a contact form and an emergency information card on file
- Ensure that each child is signed in and out by the same parent or legal guardian and only a parent or legal guardian
- Supervise the activities of all assigned children in the Kid’s Club area and ensure that children remain in the designated area and safe at all times
- Provide care to children including paging the parent or guardian to change soiled diapers; clean soiled clothing and accessories, attend to personal needs and similar needs of the children
- Answer inquiries from parents and others
- Project a positive friendly and caring attitude at all times while interacting with the children and their parents
- Provide parents or guardians information of the child’s behavior and any unusual occurrence or activity involving their child
- Report accidents to the Kid’s Club Supervisor and General Manager immediately
- Administer first aid to children according to company policy
- Report all member complaints to the Kid’s Club Supervisor or Club Manager
- Perform housekeeping duties in the Kid’s Club area to keep the area clean, orderly, and safe
- Ensure that all toys and other objects are clean and safe
- Keep manager informed daily of all extraordinary or unusual condition and situations
- Contact supervisor to assist with handling of special situations.
- Attend training sessions as required
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Maintain and demonstrate a friendly, enthusiastic, and positive attitude
- Ability to manage children of all ages in a fast-paced environment
- Have patience and compassion in working with children
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and determine priorities
- Ability to handle challenging customer issues with patience, tact, and professionalism
- High level of professionalism, honesty, integrity, and work ethic
- Exhibit a superior sense of customer service at all times
- Willingness to work flexible hours
Required Experience, Education and Certifications
Infant and Child First Aid and CPR & AED certification required within 90 days of employment
Physical Demands
- Physical demands include, but are not limited to daily walking, sitting, lifting, bending, squatting, and reaching.
- Extended daily and weekly work hours may be required, including weekends. Additionally, flexible work hours are required on both day and night shifts with little to no prior notification given.
- Ability to report for work at prescribed times and fulfill all job requirements for the duration of the shift.
- The ability to move freely in and around obstacles common in gyms. TEAMmate must be able to move quickly from one work area to another at a moments’ notice.
- Some lifting and the movement of moderate loads require 50-pound lifting requirement.
- Must have the ability to work under a high degree of stress on a physical, mental, and emotional level. TEAMmate must have the capacity to work under these conditions throughout the duration of his / her shift.
