Bilingual Teller – Full Time 30 /- – Grand Island

The teller will provide excellent customer service while efficiently and accurately processing transactions, handling currency, accepting payments, verifying funds and explaining bank products while working in a team environment.
Job Duties:
- Receives cash and checks for deposit, verifies amounts, and looks for check endorsements. Examines cash carefully to guard against acceptance of counterfeit bills.
- Cashes check for customers after verifying identification and checking account balances in accordance with bank policy
- Enters transactions into computer and issues customer receipts
- Counts cash and checks against computer records at beginning and ending of shift
- Prepares certified checks, cashier’s checks, savings bonds, and gift cards checks as requested
- Explains bank services and charges to customers
- Process ATM deposits
- Observes suspicious behavior and report any such activity
- Assists customers in opening accounts and general customer service
- Balance coin machine, vault balancing including cash sales and money ordering
- Scanning deposits and payment transactions
- Process the renting, accessing and closing of safe deposit boxes
- Greet and refer customers to appropriate bank personnel to meet their financial needs.
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bilingual - Spanish
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Prior banking experience is preferred.
- Active Listening – Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.

Education and Experience:
Working toward a High School Diploma (GED or High School Equivalence Certificate). Must have cash handling and customer service experience.

Status/Standard Schedule: Hourly full time position working 30 /- hours per week with varying hours Monday through Friday and rotating Saturdays.
