Position Title: Culture and Internal Communication Specialist
Reports To: HR Business Partner

Purpose: The Culture and Internal Communication Specialist is responsible for planning, developing, and executing a multi-faceted internal communications program for all employees to support the Company’s priorities and initiatives. This position will support the work of the Human Resources team to create strategic communications campaigns and develop innovative ways to engage employees that are in tune with the Company culture. The Culture and Internal Communication Specialist will also collaborate with Executives and Business units as needed across functions and locations regarding culture and communication.

Essential Functions:
- Manage content for internal employee communication vehicles (e.g.: Intranet, Company Monthly Newsletter, etc.), incorporating appealing features that improve employee engagement, and provide consistent delivery of corporate news, events and activities
- Educate, advise, strategize, and guide leaders of the company regarding any communication, project, initiative that needs to be completed
- Collaborate with Leadership in developing and executing communication plans that convey Company’s strategic initiatives, culture and values
- Lead employee engagement with regards to Reward Gateway. Compile, educate, and communicate overall company survey results and follow up with Managers on action items regarding focus areas.
- Help the HR team (Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Training, etc.) with any administrative tasks along with any special HR projects.
- Collaborate and build strong relationships with all business units across the corporate footprint in order to support desired cultural results and increase employee engagement (e.g.: Meetings, develop Diversity & Inclusion culture, Focus Groups); Serves as internal consultant for drafting internally focused Departmental and employee communications, and job descriptions
- Schedule, organize, prepare material, and facilitate internal leadership meetings, activities and special events focusing on employee engagement (e.g.: Lead CARE Teams, Company Call, Engagement Team meetings, etc.)
- Keeps current with community activities throughout Corporate footprint and manages Community Calendar, facilitating Company representation as appropriate
- Demonstrate the standards and principles of the Five Star Bank experience in every interaction with internal and external customers, associates, and stakeholders. Incorporate the high-performance behaviors of teamwork, leading by example, and service in every facet of work.

Job Related Qualifications – Education and Prior Experience:
Required:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Communications, Public Relations, Business Management or related field
- Prior Experience: 3 years Internal Communications, or Human Resources experience

- Education: Associate Degree in Human Resources, Communications, Public Relations
- Prior Experience: 5 years Internal Communications, or Human Resources experience

Preferred:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Communications, Public Relations or related field
- Prior Experience: 5 years Internal Communications, or Human Resources experience
- Licenses or Accreditation: Certification in Organizational Change Management

- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and change focus quickly to meet established deadlines in a fast-paced environment

- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with the ability to learn and utilize new and existing banking software
