Position Title: Graphic Designer
Reports To: Director of Marketing
Department: Marketing
FLSA Status: Exempt
Purpose: Under the guidance of the Director of Marketing, the Graphic Designer will help building our brand identity, as well as creatively support strategic marketing initiatives for various lines of business for the bank and affiliates.

Essential Functions:
- Create visual assets for print, social, digital advertising (including animation and video), email and website
- Collaborate with our Advertising Agency of Record, to develop visual concepts to support strategic marketing initiatives across all channels
- Demonstrate a firm understanding of the bank brand and ensure visual consistency of imagery to the Bank’s brand standards and style guidelines
- Responsible for reviewing and approving production proofs and collaborating with print vendors to ensure quality and timely delivery of materials
- Collaborate with Marketing team members on the development of creative assets for email marketing programs for the bank and affiliates
- Collaborate with Advertising Agency of Record on the development of creative assets for digital posters and video walls across the Corporate footprint, as well as ATM screen advertising
- Keep the Company current on the latest creative marketing trends
- Demonstrate the standards and principles of the Five Star Bank experience in every interaction with internal and external customers, associates, and stakeholders. Incorporate the high-performance behaviors of teamwork, leading by example, and service in every facet of work

Job Related Qualifications – Education and Prior Experience:
Required:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts or Visual Communications
- Prior Experience: 5 years as an in-house graphic designer
- Licenses or Accreditation: N/A

Preferred:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts or Visual Communications
- Prior Experience: 10 years as an in-house graphic designer for the financial industry
- Licenses or Accreditation: N/A
Competencies:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines
- High attention to detail and the ability to work on a number of campaigns simultaneously
- Creative thinking skills
- Extensive working knowledge in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
- Demonstrates skills in producing creative assets for digital (including animated, social, web, google ads, etc.) and print mediums
- Skilled in preparing visual assets and graphic files for websites, banner ads, emails, social media, animation and interactive applications
- Familiar with printing process and working with a printer for the production of print materials
- Familiarity with web design and website administration, as well as the ability to work with programming scripts, including XML and HTML
- Familiarity with email marketing solutions (i.e. Mailchimp, Salesforce Marketing Cloud)
Physical Requirements:
- Able to regularly sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
- Extensive computer usage is required
