The Professional Development Specialist (PDS) provides training and support to educators and schools who are looking to effectively integrate technology and best practice into their curriculum, helping to create awesome learning in the PK-13 educational environments. Working closely with other members of the PD team, the Specialist builds and presents training content and resource materials designed for adult learners. To accomplish the PD team vision, strong communication skills and educational licensure are necessary. The PDS role will report to a Director of Professional Development Services.
Offered Beyond the Paycheck
● Current teaching certification/licensure is required.
● Experience teaching or coaching STEM initiatives is required.
● Experience using instructional technology in a classroom setting with remote instruction
and Google for Education experience preferred.
● Experience leading and creating varied professional development opportunities desired.
● The ideal candidate should have impeccable interpersonal skills that include excellent oral
and written communication, organization, and attention to detail.
● Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment and/or independently with
minimal supervision and guidance.
● Ability to commute locally (1-4 hours) and travel nationally overnight for occasional
national PD events as needed.
