FSC Edge is hiring a Software Engineer to be part of a growing company.
About FSC Edge
FSC Edge is standing up a large electronic publication production facility in the Omaha area and is recruiting a significant team to support a new contract with periods of performance that span 10 years in total. Our operators use the latest in optical character recognition technology and software combined with workflow management to deliver text accuracy exceeding the USPTOs stringent requirements. Teammates are assigned work from a wide range of predominately computer-oriented tasks based directly on their demonstrated proficiencies.
This is an in-office position, and we are looking for motivated individuals interested in growing as part of a team of over 200 people.

Essential Functions:
- Collaborate with management, departments, and customers to identify end-user requirements and specifications.
- Develop solutions using XML technologies such as XPath
- Develop software using Agile Scrum methodology
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and improve existing software
- Develop technical documentation to guide future software development projects
- Create test cases
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Education/Experience Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
- 3 years of experience with development and testing using Python 3.8 and version control using git
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Knowledge of the following a plus:
- VirtualBox, Ubuntu, Linux, XML, LXML, XPath, SQL
- Experience with RegEx technologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication, problem solving, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and on a team
- Ability to self-learn in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to travel up to 5% of the time with possibility of international travel
