Job Summary:
Flatter, Inc. is currently seeking a Event Planning Manager; this is a supervisory position. This is a Remote position, however, there are requirements for regularly occurring on-site support in the D.C area. D.C./Northern VA area. You will be providing oversight for logistics, protocol, and meeting arrangements in support of the management and development of senior leaders.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide Oversight for logistics, protocol, and meeting arrangements in support of the management and development of senior leaders.
- Organizing, coordinating, planning, facilitating, and making the necessary arrangements for meetings, seminars, conferences, and events in support of senior leaders.
- Possess demonstrable expertise in Total Force SL development (includes Officer, Enlisted, and Civilian development).
- Assist AF/A1D in creating systematic, deliberate, measurable processes for targeting and achieving an effective, efficient, future SL force. This involves supporting agenda development, execution, post course analysis, and more.
- Ability to execute course schedules and functions within an allocated budget.
- Ability to effectively supervise and lead a diverse multi-generational team.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in leadership development, education, or similar field and/or a minimum of 5 years of experience in the following:
- Demonstrated experience planning and coordinating major executive level meetings and/or major conferences and events.
- Ability to manage, track, and coordinate a wide range of actions, arrangements, and tasks through completion to include demonstrated experience planning (long range), setting priorities, organizing, delegating, and executing, and translating requirements into project plans and milestones as well as directing and implementing plans to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated understanding of and experience with military organizations, rank structure, standards, and protocol.
- Demonstrated experience in leading processing re-engineering efforts (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Process Improvement).
- Demonstrated experience analyzing requirements, developing, and implementing strategic planning actions and making recommendations concerning the direction of the agency’s efforts to include the ability to develop long-range AF training plans and strategies.
- Ability to organize information, write and communicate clearly in a fast paced and dynamic environment, including the ability to demonstrate military style writing.
- Ability to manage, track and coordinate a wide range of actions, documents, and tasks through completion.
- Possess well developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise effectively at senior levels.
- Possess an understanding of military and civilian ranking structures and protocol matters.
- Proficient in MS Office products.
- Capable of working both independently and in a team environment.
- Capable of working effectively under pressure to changing deadlines, possess the ability to easily adapt to changing situations, and work well with executive personnel and leadership in a demanding environment.
