UI/UX Developer

Summary: We are seeking a UI/UX Developer to join our Lodging Division. The UI/UX Developer position is a hands-on role that contributes to translating product and design requirements into working, production ready software. This role bridges the gap between design and development and has a direct impact on customer user experience. This individual will work with the entire project team and participate in the full software development lifecycle. This is mainly a remote position, but some in-office work is preferred. Responsibilities:Contribute to the planning of new features and functionality by creating wireframes and prototypes for web, mobile, and business appsUsing JavaScript, CSS3, and HTML5, create interactive prototypes so that all team members and stakeholders understand what the finished project should like and how it should workEnsure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs provided by design, marketing, and product teamsAssure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-endOptimize applications for maximum speed and scalabilityObserve and follow business requirements, architecture principles, quality, and security standardsBuild reusable components and libraries for future usePlay a key role in quality assurance to ensure UI/UX integrity is maintained from original designs and is consistent across all devices and browsersProactively identifies improvement opportunities, embraces a culture of innovation and continuous improvementParticipate in troubleshooting discussions, code fixes, and rapid response to production issues Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience5 years in UI/UX development or related experienceExpert knowledge in JavaScript, CSS3, and HTML5Must have a good understanding of Bootstrap framework and CSS to support all devices and browsersExperience with mobile first and responsive websitesStrong experience using source control especially GitExperience with the .NET web technology stack and front-end developmentExperience with Photoshop is a plusExperience with WordPress is a plusExperience with native mobile application development is a plusExperience with single page application development is a plusExperience with Agile and iterative development practicesStrong critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skillsApproaches and solves problems with flexible, creative, and versatile thinkingAbility to multi-task, work both independently and collaboratively with high attention to detail, and adapt to changing requirementsProven excellence in communication, interpersonal skills, and organizational skillsDedicated to a high level of quality and persistent about achieving project goals
