FGA is looking for an experienced GM Controls engineer that has a drive to advance their career to the next level. An ideal candidate will be a Controls engineer that has a proven track record with General Motors projects.

Responsibilities

Job Description:

  • GM Controls project Engineer
  • Building our customer relationships
  • Quoting and assisting quoting new projects
  • Assist with electrical and software design when required.
  • Start-up, debug and troubleshooting of robotic automation equipment at the Build Shop and customer's site.
  • Throughput enhancement at customer's site.

Qualifications

Qualification and Experience:

  • Thorough knowledge of PLC, HMI and Robotic integration utilizing Control Logix and/or Siemens controls hardware.
  • Extensive commissioning experience.
  • Hardware and Software design experience.
  • Build or Body Shop experience is a definite asset.
  • GM GCCS2, GCCH1 certified
  • Position requires travel to customer's locations.

Requirements:

  • Valid United States Passport
  • Eligible for a TN Visa

Education:

  • College diploma as a minimum, or related field of study and/or equivalent industry experience
