What are the responsibilities and job description for the Package Assembler/General Warehouse position at Flex-Staff, Inc.?
We are looking for package assembler/warehouse associates that will be engaged in various shipping/receiving, packaging, production, assembly, material handling, inventory management, picking, and other general labor activities. We are looking for associates to immediately fill openings in these areas. This is a relatively light duty position working with a smaller team of up to 15 people.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sort and move inbound freight which can include boxes up to 50lbs.
- Package product based on bill of materials and stated specifications
- Pick necessary components or finished goods in support of various operational processes
- Accurately manage inventory by locating and drawing from system identified locations
- Move through the facility on Raymond wire guided pickers or with rolling carts from the floor to access inventory and bin locations
* Scan items for orders and pack shipping boxes in a way that guarantees accuracy and provides the necessary care to protect product * Stack boxes and build pallets for outbound freight
Requirements:
- Dexterity (e.g., bend, squat, stand for long periods of time and other physical movements) necessary for general warehouse material handling work and managing of parts and components
- Strength suitable to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. May need to lift up to 75# but anything over 50# they are to ask for an assist.
- Reading and number recognition necessary to accurately identify unique marked locations and part numbers
- The ability to perform the basic math skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication and dividing with the assistance of a calculator
- Quality and safety orientation
- High school diploma or equivalent
