Flexan is a global strategic contract manufacturer of custom high-quality silicone and thermoplastic components, sub-assemblies and devices designed to meet the critical requirements of Class I, Class II and Class III medical devices, as well as custom compounding and molding for precision parts.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Molding Operator plays a key role in helping to produce medical components critical to life saving devices for our customers. The molder uses molds, presses and equipment to produce silicone rubber implantable medical device components.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- In process inspection of part quality using stereo inspection microscope
Troubleshoot and resolve molding quality issues
Cooperation and professional conduct with coworkers and managers
Preparation of silicone, inserts, and any other materials needed to perform molding of product
Ability to meet standards for quality and productivity
Complete various required paperwork and documentation error free
Follow all procedures for cleanroom operation, cleanroom attire, and contamination control
Follow all procedures for traceability, line clearance, process control, safety, and housekeeping
Prevent damage or loss to tooling, fixtures, and machinery
Demonstrates all of the Flexan’ s corporate values

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma/GED
Experience in a manufacturing preferred
Able to fill out required documents and labels in English
Able to read and understand process documents and work instructions in English
Able to sit or stand for extended periods
Able to lift 75 pounds, or perform push/pull operations on tools up to 75 pounds
Adequate visual skills to perform microscope inspection of parts
Accurately input data into ERP system on a daily basis (including clock in time, work orders, etc.)
