Job Summary In our Milan Design Center, in Italy, we develop for the medical market. For our expanding team, we are looking for a Software Development Engineer The Software Development Engineer will be responsible for the design and development of software applications through the full Software Design Life Cycle including initial capture of requirements, architectural and low-level design, coding, debug, release, maintenance. She/He will define the best design approach and tools to achieve project goals and will proactively evaluate innovative solutions. She/He will communicate effectively with customers (both internal and external), project managers and team members in a cross-functional international environment. This position is part of a larger design team creating advanced healthcare solutions. Typical software applications are mobile and desktop medical apps, test frameworks, UI prototypes for IoT devices. Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do: Capture functional and non-functional software requirements Design, code and test standalone applications and libraries Define communication protocols Write technical documentation according to SW quality standards, including requirement specifications, high-level and low-level design specifications, test protocols, release notes, etc. Ensure that software items are under proper configuration control Research and evaluate tools, frameworks, platforms to improve and innovate the software development lifecycle Coordinate with other disciplines (firmware, test, system engineering, project management, etc.) Be accountable for keeping the project schedule on track Here is some of what you’ll need: 3 years of SW design and development experience.
