About The Opportunity

The role of the team leader is to effectively guide, motivate and empower a successful team of Travel Consultants to ensure they continue to place the guest at the heart of everything they do whilst selling our award-winning holidays with accuracy, knowledge and absolute professionalism.

This role will suit a candidate looking to take their first step into management. The team leader will play an active role towards the future success of their team and the success of Scott Dunn in line with our values and business objectives.

Working closely with the Sales and Service Manager, they will play an increasing role in trading decisions and supporting product strategy.

As part of their ongoing development, the team leader will be provided with best practice management and leadership tools and techniques to further develop their management leadership confidence and capability.

Responsibilities

  • To develop a high-performance team environment that motivates and empowers
  • To develop team spirit, collaboration and common purpose
  • To ensure your team have all the information they need from across the business
  • To clearly communicate and provide clarity on areas of sales measurement, guest feedback and responsibilities within the team
  • To create a climate where your team can express their views honestly and openly
  • Too support and coach individuals in regular one-to-ones to ensure everyone's personal effectiveness in the team
  • To regularly ask for information, input and suggestions for continual improvement
  • To ensure success is delivered by guest satisfaction and sales performance
  • To support internal strategies that drive commercial gains i.e. Castles
  • To escalate blockers to performance where necessary
  • To ensure consistency and adherence to operational processes
  • To continue to lead by example through successful selling and following best practice
  • Handling out of hours calls for guests in alignment with on-call duties

Requirements

  • Experience of selling Tailormade Travel experiences
  • Experience selling a specific region as a Destination desirable
  • Proven Leadership qualities including training and coaching
  • Progressive and dynamic mindset
  • Ability to motivate, engage, and inspire
  • Able to handle out of hours call in alignment with on-call duties

This role can be performed onsite or on a hybrid schedule, in compliance with the Company's Remote and Flexible Work Policy.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $76,000 plus commission / incentive earnings based on achievable targets.

The salary is dependent on relevant factors, including experience, geographic location, and job requirements.
