Overview:
The Operations Manager, at the direction of the General Manager plans, directs, communicates and coordinates, through subordinate personnel, activities to obtain optimum use of equipment, facilities, and personnel. Manages and motivates operational personnel. Confers and cooperates with upper management in formulating administrative and operational policies and procedures. Analyzes records of daily operations to maintain knowledge of station activities. Reviews and analyzes expenditures, financial and operations reports to determine requirements for increasing profit.
The Operations Manager has the responsibility for working closely with the General Manager to maintaining financial budgetary goals, safety policies, procedures and working conditions which affect the employee on the job. In addition to being responsible for the immediate work environment, he/she will develop their direct reports. Must direct and coordinate activities to provide a safe environment for employees while maintaining fast and efficient services.

Job Specific Tasks, Knowledge, Responsibilities and Activities:
- The Operations Manager is responsible for assisting the General Manager in managing the overall safety and operational performance for FSS operations in the station. The aim of this role is to ensure the delivery of an inclusive safety culture for our people and our vendor partners, as well as enabling a consistent, high quality and cost-effective level of service experience.
- Accountable for operations, safety, incident investigations, business resilience, people leadership, regulatory compliance, risk identification and management, and directing local leadership. You will act as a subject matter expert on matters related to operational performance, safety and profitability.
- Responsible the driving new business through relationship building. You will also actively work with local station leadership to ensure performance targets and SLAs are successfully met, and drive an employee performance culture by developing a high performing and engaged team.
- Job Duties not limited to the following:
- Lead Front Line employees/supervisors to meet the location, airline, airport and corporate goals in compliance with account(s) contracts.
- Ensure proper staffing and recording of assigned and/or changed schedules in KRONOS.
- Develop employees to their fullest potential.
- Maintain optimum employee moral by proper and consistent application of corrective and commendatory action.
- Maximize operational performance, adjusting to changes in operational conditions.
- Develop all functions of account(s) activity within budget constraints and with emphasis on customer service, safety and security.
- Accountable for the quality and compliance of all operations training programs
- Operate computer, cell phone and other account specific equipment properly and effectively.
- Ensure that all injuries/accidents are investigated immediately and injured employees are provided proper and immediate care and that immediate notification to location General Manager.

Qualifications
Education and/or Certifications or Licenses:
- Associates degree / Aviation Ground Handling experience
- Bachelor’s degree (Preferred)
- Advanced degree (MBA) while not required is highly desirable
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Travel as necessary to perform assigned duties.
