The Communications Business Partner (CBP) will drive key internal communications initiatives for FlightSafety’s Operations, Simulation, Defense and Courseware departments. This role will support FlightSafety International senior leaders of key business partners by developing and activating internal messaging and strategies, while ensuring alignment to the company's mission, vision, principles and brand.
"• Listen to and culminate feedback from employees in assigned business groups to ensure senior leaders are well-informed. Counsel on strategies to respond to employee feedback and ensure effective communication back to employees.• Advocate for change management in key business groups to ensure employees understand change and have adequate time for questions, feedback, and effective discussion with leaders.• Actively participate in functional leadership meetings as a trusted thought partner.• Understand and document each department’s annual communications cycle, adding initiatives that reinforce corporate messages as appropriate.• Seek to have a deep understanding of the communications preferences for each business unit’s employees. Work with communications team to develop effective solutions.• Coach and support leaders with tying their functional communication strategies/goals to the FlightPlan.• Maintain an awareness of enterprise communication priorities and proactively offer solutions to conflicting strategies by partnering with peer CBPs.• Working with the Director of Corporate Communications, develop annual messaging strategy for each business unit.• Find gaps where leaders should take opportunities to help employees understand change and company / business unit strategies.• Support leader meetings such as Center Manager calls, all-hands meetings, Preflights and other internal opportunities.• Know when to elevate business unit events and stories to all FSI employees for cross-company awareness.• Support messaging for speaking events in conjunction with CBP for Marketing / PR, and Director of Corporate Communications. • Manage alignment of company messaging, including leader messaging, to ensure accurate and consistent communication to targeted internal audiences around the globe.• Be able to elevate company and employee stories to share internally and externally (with CBP PR and Director).• Work collaboratively across the business with partners including Human Resources, Legal, Marketing, etc.).• Support crisis communications initiatives by being part of a team to create a world-class crisis communications plan.• Work with Senior Digital Communications Specialist to create and distribute data and metrics to measure ongoing efforts and provide strategic counsel if course change is needed."
Bachelor or Associate degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Aviation, Brand Management, Business or related fields, or equivalent work experience.
10 years’ progressive experience in communications, aviation, change management, or equivalent.
