Flint Hills Resources is seeking a qualified Pipeline Operator/Damage Prevention Coordinator in Beaumont, TX. This position will support pipeline operations from the Houston Tx to La Porte, TX. A successful candidate will have the ability to work independently, have good critical thinking skills, and a Safety-mindset. Candidate should be able to Multitask and will possess good computer skills and verbal and written communication.

This role also offers a flexible 9/80’s work schedule, meaning there is the potential for every other Friday off depending on workload.
What You Will Do In Your Role
- Effectively locate and mark underground pipelines
- Comply with applicable, state and company one-call laws and one-call ticket responsibilities
- Install permanent markers, signs, and manage right-or-way activities and encroachments
- Excavation and construction oversight of third parties working near FHR pipelines
- Field operations across the system including facility station checks, contractor oversight, right of way evaluations
- Promote pipeline safety and safe digging practices, this includes, but not limited to, communicating with excavators, landowners, and emergency response officials
- Traveling to remote locations to perform work described above
- Survey/Inspection work of existing pipeline, Inspection of external coating on buried pipelines
- Communicate and manage relationships with contract service providers and the general public
- Line up and safety operation of process flows.
- Basic LOTO
- Maintain / Repair relief valves, and Basic valve maintenance
- Launch/Receiving In-line inspection devices
- Travel up to 25% of the time with overnight stays
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to wear PPE in designated areas (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, fire retardant clothing, respirator, safety boots, etc.)
- Ability to work in hot, cold, or inclement climate conditions (outdoor conditions)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (with frequent carrying of up to 25 pounds)
The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:
- Experience reading and interpreting maps and drawings
- Ability to comprehend drill profiles/bore profiles, alignment sheets
- Ability to work independently in remote locations
- Ability to work effectively under time and scheduling deadlines
- Valid driver’s license
- Computer skills with the ability to use and learn proprietary databases
- Willing to be in an on-call rotational and work overtime as needed
- Willing to respond to calls 24/7 for emergency response and business needs
What Will Put You Ahead
- One year of pipeline operations experience
- One call ticket management system (Korweb, Utilisphere)
- Experience working in pipeline/utilities damage prevention (line locating, excavators, public awareness)

Basic knowledge of oil and gas industry
