SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Finish technician will have knowledge and understanding of the tubing, assembly and wiring techniques of multiple types of Flogistix unit configurations, meeting all assembly requirement standards. The technician will be able to work with little direction and will cover multiple tasks as required.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
1. Reports to: Production Manager – Finish Dept
2. Other: Works integrally with other employees and independently
WORK REQUIREMENTS
Routine assembly of compressor units which includes but is not limited to the following:
- The assembly of necessary threaded part using standard hand tools
- The reading of P&ID’s
- The installation on stainless steel tubing ranging from ¼” to 1”
- The installation of ridged conduit (cutting, threading and assembling on unit)
- The installation of required electrical components
- Final wiring into panel assembly
- Final wiring QC
- The final QC of the completed unit
- Daily housekeeping requirements
Qualifications
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Must demonstrate proficiency in both oral and written communication
- Must have the ability to interpret P&ID drawings and the ability to cut assembly tubing and various Flogistix products while following all Flogistix and industry safety standards.
- Must have good mathematical skills including the use of fraction, units of measure, angles).
- The ability to analyze problems, identify solutions in support of goals.
- Use of various hand tools common to the industry including but not limited to pipe wrenches, hand grinder, cutoff saws, impacts, tape measures, hand drills, various hand tools, tubing benders.
- Must be reliable in attendance and work ethic and must take part in all required Flogistix training.
- Must be able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift and maneuver 50 LBS.
- This is a “safety sensitive” position.
- Must be able to stand for long periods; sit, kneel, and stoop.
- Must be able to work in hot/cold/damp/cramped environments.
- Must be able to follow all EHSS policies and procedures.
- Must be able to work occasional Saturdays as Production requires.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
