What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Solutions Specialist position at Floor & Decor?
Purpose:
The HR Solutions Specialist will serve as an associate service advocate. This role will be responsible for managing incoming HR Related inquiries from managers and associates and act as a single point of contact for resolution.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
- Working knowledge of HR practices and legal/regulatory framework in a corporate/retail environment is a plus
- Knowledge or hands on experience with internal human resources, payroll, benefits, performance management and recruiting processes is a plus
- Excellent computer skills, including intermediate to advanced skills in MS Word and MS Excel
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical and reasoning skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize duties and responsibilities
- Ability to problem solve and help leaders problem solve general HR issues and concerns
- Experience with Workday is preferred
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide excellent customer service to associates by triaging and troubleshooting incoming HR inquiries and taking the initiative to seek answers, solutions, and positive outcomes for both the associate and the organization.
- Utilize established policies, procedures and practices to solve issues or route and/or escalate specialized queries to the appropriate team member to get resolution
- Process and approve HR system transactions
- Own specific HR practice, including process development, execution of process, tracking, reporting and vendor management, and cross-train and execute on other HR practices managed by the HR Solutions team. HR practices include, but are not limited to, drug and background process, opening and closing requisitions, unemployment administration, poster compliance, and E-Verify
- Ensure policies and procedures are being administered to company standard
- Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of HR files and records
- Other duties as assigned
Working Conditions (travel & environment)
- This position is hourly, knowing it may include hours which exceed eight hours in a day or forty hours in a week
- The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet
Physical / Sensory Requirement
- Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
