What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Installer- West Coast position at Floor & Decor?
PURPOSE
This position is responsible for the day-to-day project workflow for New Store projects, remodels/resets, existing store department resets, and/or the maintenance, implementation and follow through of company’s brand standards and visual merchandising at varying levels of involvement. Typical duties include merchandising projects, planogram maintenance, product pack out and display/signage maintenance designed to enhance the customer experience. (Project Installer’s (PI) work in teams with on-site supervision, and provide service to multiple departments in the stores. These associates execute approved general bay service, tasking, projects and resets safely, accurately and efficiently. Project Installer must build and maintain strong relationships with store associates and provide superior customer service to both internal and external customers. The Project Installer is an entry level role in NSVM New Stores and Visual Projects.
MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- At least one year of relevant experience required or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company
- Experience working in a retail environment and merchandising department
- Proven problem-solving and team building skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be detail-oriented
- Must possess excellent customer service skills and work well under pressure
- Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Merchandising
- Must possess excellent customer service skills and work well under pressure
- Ensures POP signage, price signs, and all other visual merchandising standards are met according to the Merchandising Standards Guide
- Ensure proper safety and operational standards are met as the project is being set
- Ensure the projects and tasks completed on time
- Responsible for cross-project communication on items, such as: sets, fixtures, merchandise layout, bay elevations, etc.
- May at times be responsible for a project and providing a report out of current status, timelines, and budget.
Administration
Execute timelines to complete projects per schedule and communicate any issues to the Project Specialist assigned to the specific project/store.
WORKING CONDITIONS (TRAVEL, HOURS, ENVIRONMENT)
- Frequent car travel required
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate.
PHYSICAL/SENSORY REQUIREMENTS
Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
