What are the responsibilities and job description for the Auditor position at Florida Auditor General?
An Auditor performs responsible professional work in conducting financial audits, operational audits, performance audits, and other engagements at State agencies, educational entities, and local governmental units. Applicants with professional experience may be considered for a higher-level position.
Job duties include:
- Determining compliance with applicable laws, established policies, plans, and procedures, including State laws, Florida Administrative Code, Federal rules and regulations, and entity-specific policies and procedures.
- Determining compliance with GAAP, GAGAS, and other accounting or auditing-related authoritative sources.
- Compiling statistical data.
- Performing basic and complex data analysis.
- Working with a team of auditors.
- Communicating with team members and auditees.
- Other duties as required.
We operate within a hybrid work environment; staff may work from home during some of their work week.
