What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Consultant Business Solutions & Execution position at Florida Blue?
The Sr Business Consultant will play an integral role in understanding Commercial Markets strategic direction and supporting business executives and owners in solving business problems and implementing innovative solutions. The Consultant will:
- Lead, support, and facilitate the alignment and impacts to the Commercial Markets Capability Plans across other Guidewell portfolios.
- Assess the ongoing value creation of the business plan initiatives, through effective management of the OPET process modules.
- Perform regular, planned, capability rationalization and life cycle management activities across multiple portfolios.
- Provide guidance and direction to senior business leadership and cross-functional team members as required in support of Commercial business capability related initiatives as they align in other portfolios.
- Lead the development process of functional initiatives, products and services to align with the Commercial business plan.
- Coordinate and materially participates in the prioritization of initiatives and capability development based on funding budgets and line of sight to strategy execution across portfolios outside of the Commercial Market.
Business Consulting and Project Leadership/Management
Leverages Business Solutions and Execution best practices and closely supports the Strategic Initiative Business owner
Provide framework for initiative deliverables, identify needed resources, negotiate with higher authorities, and recruit effective participants.
Develop integrated implementation/project plans.
Collaboration, Communication, Integration
Articulates complex topics or issues in succinct, clear language for delivery to wide range of audiences including senior level executives.
Collaborates and consults with leaders and SMEs in departments across the enterprise (Segment, Product, Network, Analytics, GWH, Care, Sales, Medicare Markets, Communications, Legal, Compliance, Actuarial, etc.) to support strategic initiative solutioning, integration and execution..
Agent for Change
Develops and maintains standardized best practices for CM-wide adoption: a framework for prioritization of initiatives, a framework for a repeatable process, a playbook with reusable components and a library of best practice tools and templates.
Drives continuous improvements, facilitates lessons learned, and incorporates learnings.
Teaches, models, and provides consultative support to others on how to leverage resources and encourages assimilation of best practices and learnings within CM.
What You Must Have
- 6 years related work experience.
- Related Bachelor's degree or additional related equivalent work experience
- Knowledge of health care industry and key functions and processes; experience managing health care related projects
- Demonstrated expertise with the concepts, theories and processes of Project Management Methodology (PMM).
- Ability to think conceptually and strategically and create tactical solutions to solve root needs/problems.
- Experience building successful collaborative business relationships.
- Can articulate complex topics or issues in succinct, clear language for delivery to wide range of audiences including senior level (C Suite) executives.
Ability to effectively delegate and accept input.

- Lean Green Belt or experience with lean methodologies Proficient: Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Process Mapping

Salary
To support your financial wellbeing, we offer competitive pay as well as opportunities for incentive or commission compensation. We also conduct regular annual reviews with pay for performance considerations for base pay increases.
- Typical Annualized Hiring Range: $93,700 - $117,100
- Annualized Salary Range: $93,700 - $152,200
- Final pay will be determined with consideration of market competitiveness, internal equity, and the job-related knowledge, skills, training, and experience you bring.
