The Knight Foundation School of Computing and Info. Sciences is currently seeking Undergraduate Teaching Assistant to join their team of professionals.
Undergraduate Teaching Assistants are assigned to classes and labs to work with students alongside the primary instructor. Duties to include:
Undergraduate Teaching Assistants must be eligible to work in the United States, are limited to fifteen hours per week, must maintain a minimum 2.5 overall GPA,
and must be qualified to grade for the specific course they are assigned. A student is presumed to be qualified to grade an introductory (2000 level or lower) course
if they have passed the succeeding course with a grade of “B” or higher, or upper-level (3000 level or higher) course if they have passed the corresponding course with a grade of B or higher.
Selection as an undergraduate teaching assistant requires an interview with school personnel(s).
Requires prior completion of FIU Service Excellence training or completion within first 30 days.
Knowledge of classroom subject.
Customer service knowledge
Basic level of Microsoft Office Suites.
Ability to work independently as needed
Ability to provide direction to students.
Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with highly sensitive information.
Student Assistant
Standard 15 hours
$700.00 to $5000.00 total gross per semester (paid in biweekly increments)
