General Description:
Under direction of the Community Development Director, implement and oversee the City of Rome’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Community Development, Planning or a related field is required; or a combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities for this position.- Experience in the areas of grants management for a federal, state, or local government entity preferred.
- Accounting best practices is favorable.
- Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Internet required.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (verbally and in writing) and ability to deal effectively with a diverse group of people and situations.
- Must be detail oriented and a multi-tasker. Must also be able to work from a priority list and be able to meet deadlines.
- Must already possess or obtain National Incident Management Systems (NIMS) 100 and 700 within three (3) months of employment.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license in state of residency.
