Mover / Material Handler
SUMMARY: Responsible for office furniture moves, fulfilling internal relocation requests and basic building maintenance at the GLOBALFOUNDRIES facility in Essex Junction. Regular work hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Job Duties include:
- Complies with all Fluor Corporation safety requirements and programs.
- Wears all required PPE
- Load office equipment and furniture onto trucks or other equipment, transport it to a new location, and then unload it.
- May move as few as one or two items or the contents of an entire office.
- Must have the knowledge and ability to transport items without damage.
- May disassemble furniture, such as a large desk, so it fits through doorways or into elevators.
- May place furniture in special containers designed to protect it or build crates for irregularly shaped items.
- Movers also maintain inventories of the items they transport.
- Performs basic maintenance tasks on building/facility systems and furniture.
- Requires a good aptitude for maintenance related skills.
- Ability to gain certification for telehandler
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Experience: 1-4 years in move/furniture/building maintenance or similar field required
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be capable of lifting and carrying tools, equipment and/or materials weighing 40 pounds.
