Mold Maker

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for start-up and shut down of presses and maintenance of press / mold / auxiliary equipment to avoid damage.
• Fabricate, repair, and rebuild components on molding presses and auxiliary equipment.
• Perform and record preventive maintenance on molding presses and all related auxiliary equipment.
• Create work orders and notifications in SAP and L2Lsystems.
• Serve as a mechanical resource for the molding operation (knowledge of process, components, jobs, molds, equipment, etc.)
• Setup, maintain, and operate robots utilizing up to 6 axes.
• Monitor and maintain equipment safety devices, proper component quality standards and assure a clean and safe working environment.
• Coordinate press downtime for repair.
• Assist with press movement.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions or failures and recommend/implement proper corrections.
• Ensure all mechanical changes/corrections are recorded in the proper equipment areas.
• Address all mechanical defects/issues in a timely manner.
• Serve as mentor/coach/teacher for other molding associates.
• Train new and existing molding personnel in general maintenance items on molding activities, presses, and auxiliary equipment.
• Maintain regular, punctual attendance.
• Possess a good working knowledge of molds and how they function.
• Have a thorough working knowledge of injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
• Must be able to diagnose and isolate issues specific to mold, auxiliary equipment, or injection molding machine.
• Computer skills include basic keyboarding and navigational skills. Must be able to use Microsoft Office, MES, SAP, L2L, and software specific to molding equipment or processes.

Experience

• A high school diploma, or GED Required.

Desired

• A minimum of 2 years electro-mechanical experience
• Be willing to enroll in electro-mechanical classes if required.
• Previous injection molding experience in a technical role.

Job Type: Contract

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• Night shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Holdrege, NE 68949: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Electrical discharge machining: 1 year (Preferred)
• CNC: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Journeyman License (Preferred)
