Purchasing Manager/Demand Planner

100 year old toy company startup looking for a Demand Planner to help fuel our growth and become a key cog in our Supply Chain. Responsibilities including but not limited to:

• Develop effective forecast models based on data history, trends and demand patterns, by partnering with accounting and sales teams.
• Support management with high and low risk merchandise assessments.
• Build 6 to 12 month production plans for top 20% of items in our product portfolio.
• Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.
• Collaborate and communicate successfully, forecast and inventory estimations with management.
• Monitor and report important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies to management.
• Conduct and communicate monthly forecast maintenance for each factory.
• Review all sales orders that demand planning can meet delivery timeframes issued by the customer.
• Work with China Team to determine purchase requirements, submit purchase orders and make sure inbound delivery timeframes are met and communicate any delays.
• Partner with senior leadership to establish appropriate supply chain KPIs and build reporting to track and communicate to relevant stakeholders.
• Share and maintain warehouse container weekly deliveries with warehouse manager.
• Initiate weekly transfers between warehouses based on stock levels.
• Work with our distribution centers to reconcile any product receipt and inventory discrepancies through adjustments.
• Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
