Accountant

FM:Systems, a leading provider of Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS) and the top performer in space management and workplace services software, is seeking an Accountant to join us in Raleigh, NC. This is a key role in a fast-paced, challenging environment assisting with month-end accounting and the day-to-day management of financial operations, domestically and internationally.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Support the daily financial operations by reconciling cash daily and supporting treasury activities
• Prepare monthly journal entries, customer invoices, and account reconciliations; perform analyses, resolve issues, and reconcile items in the general ledger
• Complete monthly and quarterly financial close activities
• Take on primary responsibility for managing our GSA contract
• Assist as needed with ongoing process improvement projects and documentation

The successful candidate for this role will have the following qualifications:
 

• 2+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience with a major enterprise resource planning (ERP) software package
• Understanding of U.S. GAAP
• Highly motivated with good creative problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment under deadline pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to thrive in a team environment and take on new challenges as they arise
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
